We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Engineer to join our Clients manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing production processes, developing innovative solutions, and ensuring continuous improvement in manufacturing operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply advanced engineering skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to the optimisation of production efficiency and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivering all Production Engineering functions
  • Understands and has applied key Lean tools: VSM, Line Balancing, Layout and Flow, Kanban, SMED
  • Develop alternative production methods for existing components using Lean tools and techniques
  • Design manufacturing systems and installation of facilities to meet overall production requirements – Quality, Cost, Delivery
  • Value engineering on products to reduce cost.
  • Design and develop layouts, fixtures, tooling, material handling equipment essential for maintaining deliveries and reducing costs
  • Use Lean/Six Sigma tools to continuously improve OEE and reduce waste.
  • Create drawings and concepts using CAD (Solidworks)
  • Support Capex submission through establishing the level of investment needed in plant and equipment, quantifying the return and justifying expenditure
  • Support the generation of PFMEA’s, Process Flows and Standard Operating Instructions
  • Support Quality with 8D investigations

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience working as an Engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Understands and has applied key Lean tools: VSM, Line Balancing, Layout and Flow, Kanban, SMED
  • Experience/knowledge of systematic root cause analysis methods
  • Previous experience using Solidworks is advantageous
